A New Beginning

A quiet morning in Auroville.

By the mountains

A couple of years ago, I visited a close friend’s home in Kashmir, India. This was my first visit to this beautiful valley. We visited some of the popular tourist destinations like Sonmarg, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and also some untouched areas as my hosts were natives of Kashmir. Starting from the food, the people, arts and crafts, every single element culminated into an intimate experience and exposure for me.

Here are some of my pictures from the visit!

We would often stop by small ‘dhaabas’ that are informal food or snack places along highways or busy streets and have hot, freshly cooked snacks. I would often see Endless fields and snow clad mountains across the ‘dhaaba’.

This is my favorite picture from the visit and brings back all the magical moments and memories. I will always be grateful for this amazing adventure and the wonderful people who were a part of it, such a satisfying journey.
